What is a CORE Charge?

The sale of a remanufactured part involves the price of the part itself, as well as an additional core charge to encourage the return of the old part for remanufacturing purposes. The core charge, sometimes called a core price, is a form of deposit you pay until returning your old part. If you don't have the core at the time of purchase, you must pay the core charge. That charge is refunded to you when you return the core. Let's say you buy a remanufactured water pump with an $80 core charge, but you haven't removed the old water pump yet. You must pay the core charge when you buy the part. After you replace the pump, you return the old one, with your receipt (which includes the core charge). As long as the old part is in acceptable condition, we will then refund the $80.

How Do I Return a Core?

Package your core using sufficient packaging material for safe transit. In many cases you can reuse the box and packaging material that your order arrived in. Please include a copy of your original sales receipt. If you cannot locate your sales receipt please call or email us to have a copy sent to you. No RMA numbers are required prior to returning your core. Ship the core back to us using a traceable and insured service such as UPS Ground or US Priority Mail to the following address:

Is tax added to my order?

We only collect tax for will call orders and orders shipped within the state Florida. The current tax rate is 7%

I am interested in an item but it says it's a "Special Order" What does this mean?

When something is purchased as a "Special Order", it can mean one of several things:

1. Most commonly it means that it is not a normally stocked item and it will be ordered on your behalf. This typically takes from 4-10 days, sometimes sooner.


2. It could mean that it is a normally stocked item but VertexAuto.com is temporarily out of stock or the item is backordered from the manufacturer. Should this be the case, you will be notified either by phone or email informing you of the additional delay.

Please note, unless otherwise instructed, your entire order will be held until the arrival of your special order item.

What currencies can Vertex Auto accept?

How do I know that my order was received?

You will receive a notification, including a copy of your invoice, via email to the address that you provided at checkout. In some cases, these notifications are delivered to your spam folder. It should take no longer than five minutes to receive your receipt.

How long after I place my order will it be shipped?

When shipping standard ground services, in most cases your order is shipped within 48 hours, not including weekends. The majority of time we ship much sooner. Should we foresee a lengthy delay in shipping, you will be notified via email or phone. Orders that are shipped using UPS Overnight, 2nd Day and 3 day services will take priority and ship the same day, providing that your order is made before 1:00 PM Eastern time and all items are in stock.

How long before I see my order?

Transit times vary based on your geographical location and shipping method chosen. Orders are shipped from our Miami, FL warehouse. Typical ground transit times are as follows:

2. Central 3-5 days

How do I know when my order has been shipped?

When shipping with UPS, you will receive and email from "UPS Quantum View" with your shipment date and tracking information. At the current time our system is not automated as such to deliver tracking information when shipping via US Mail. We are working to have this feature in place in the coming months.
